Variable Power Steering

If I remember correctly my 02 has variable assist power steering. Has anyone successfully adjusted (reduced) the assist? I'm looking for a bit heavier feel.

Me too. but I don't think you can do it unless maybe you increase the size of the steering pump pulley (for less power from the engine?)

Actually, since I replaced my crappy Turanzas with Michelin Pilot A/S, the steering feels better (definitely notice it requires slightly more effort to turn). And the old front tires still had plenty of tread left.
