Best Roadside Assistance Plan

Hi guys. I was just curious. What is the best Roadside Assistance plan for our cars? Is AAA really the best or are there alternatives which you think are better. I need to get some plan for my car and want to make sure I do the reasearch and ask the best guys around for this stuff. Thanks in advance.

I have had AAA Plus for almost ten years now. It is great. I think it gives 75 miles of free towing and even if you're not the driver it's still covered. Example; my g/f's car was dead a few weeks ago and they towed about 25 miles with no ?'s asked. Cots is about $100 per year.

I have AAA Plus... totally love it... only gripe is that they wont allow my Max to be put on a flat bed to tow it! I dont want my baby being pulled! i want it resting well.. haha... other than that.. great benefits man!

I have AAA and it is really good. The regular member only get 7 Miles free tow, Plus member get 100 miles free tow, and Premium gets 200 Miles free tow.

I've been looking for a plan too. I don't like CAA (Canada's equivalent of the AAA). It's on the person not the car. Our GMC Envoy is still on GM's roadside assistance so both my wife and I are already covered when driving it. With CAA, though, while I'll be covered driving my Maxima my wife won't!

okay I guess AAA it is. Their website really sux in terms of the service that they provide. The only thing Ive notived though is that I can NOT be a plus member unless Im with them for 2 years??? IS this true??/ I thnk being towed 7 miles is useless to me because I dont wan to be towed to some shop thats gonna charge me 3XX what it costs to fix. Can any1 clear this up please. Thanks.

Why not just have it towed to the shop of your choice and pay the whole charge if you don't want to get boned on repair costs?

my max broke down in NJ on the way to SC from CT. i had no choice but to bring it to a AAA certified mechanic in NJ since i was out of range for the 200 mile.

I have GEICO, recently signed up for their insurance and they have roadside assiatance as well. I hope they're good. My extended warranty also has towing, one or the other has to work, I hope. Maximas are reliable enough hopefully to not need towing.

That's a fairly accurate statement. I have been in a few different travel clubs over the years and the most I ever got from any so far is free trip routing. I have not needed any towing yet because I have not been involved in a breakdown or accident. (Knock on wood) I hope I never need to be towed either.
