Tunning Question

Is there any way to adjust how rich or lean you run the engine? Can i just adjust a screw somewhere, or do i acctually need to buy a computer that will do adjusting?

you need to buy an apexi SAFC II. check their website for more info. there is nothing on the car that can adjust it but the consult 2 might able to make changes to the ecu that would affect a/f. but then you would have to know someone at a dealer.

if you get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, you could run higher pressure and richer but teh computer will try to lean it out. my FPR was at to high a pressure and i started getting engine codes of "bank 1 rich mixture". at a certain point the ECU cant lean it out anymore, and you can run rich. i dont recomend this for daily driving because the MPG sucks. it does give your car a nice kick though

Actually, why do you want to do it?

if you can find the carburetor, turn the fuel feed screw to change the fuel/air mix.

oh wait...we don't have carburetors. oh well.

you have to replace the part that is not functioning correctly. some 350z guys ran lean with headers and full exhaust but from what i heard, even that was only slightly. if you are running lean the most likely your maf is bad or a bad primary (upstream) o2 sensor.

my max always has some pinging underhood what i think was caused by running lean, but no code whatsoever.

Did you pull the codes or are you guessing?

How about taking it to a dealer and asking them to diagnose it and give an estimate on what to fix and how much, then deciding if it's worth getting done. If you somehow figure out a way to richen it up, you're only hiding the problem, not fixing it.
