My Max told me........

that it was "ICY". I didn't even know that this display feature existed. It was really cool to see. I hopped in my car last night in the fridged cold, and started her up. Went down the road a little, and I leave my display on the tach side on Temperature. Well it was 32 degrees, and on the top left of the display, it say "ICY". I'm not sure what the breakpoint is when that pops up, but I thought that was a cool feature. Wonder what other goodies I'm gonna find..............maybe it'll say "HOT" if the temperature gets really high.

Wont say hot. Look in the owners manual and you will find the temp. where it displays "icy", I think its about 37 degrees.

That and common sense. Although I wish I had the gadgets the 5.5 gen does.

Mine comes on at 37. Yeah, it gets a bit annoying after a while. Heck, where I live it's on almost continuiously from now through March. But safety first, I guess....

I'm glad that is something I'll never see in my display.

My Max said "Spicy" when I dropped some Taco Bell fire sauce in it...

Funny you bring this up. I recently bought a 2001 pathfinder and I also have a 2000 max. Well last night i was driving my pathy and it was like 34 degrees or something and noticed that the temp thing said ICE and I thought that was cool since my max doesnt say anything haha.

Just watch out, because those of you with stock RE92's, they don't think ICY is all that cool.

That's because the sensor is regionally adjusted. The farther south you are the higher the temp reads before it displays ICY.

j/k......

Just an FYI....in Canada ours say "ICY" at 3C or lower. Anything below -30C (-22F) will not register a temperature and will read "---" (hmmmm.....does it still say "ICY" when it reads "---"? I'll have to check it out this winter). I also remember reading some guy driving through Death Valley said that there is an upper temperature limit of I believe 130F or something like that and then anything hotter will read "---" on the high end.
