Steeing Wheel Audio controls on early 5th gen...

So did the 00s and 01s have steering wheel audio controls? I didn't think so originally, but then I saw Skyliner's pictures of his new car and I noticed the controls on the steering wheel. But then I was contested by somebody else who said that they didn't have the audio controls. So did any early 5th gens have the audio controls on the wheel or not???

This is the picture that I'm referring to. (this is Skyliner's picture that I edited)

Thanks for the help.

-Brian

...the audio controls and the windows that don't go down from the keyless entry remote. That's what you get in the first year of a redesign.

How do you make the windows go down with the keyless remote?

i believe that skipped the 5th gen. not sure if 5.5geners have it. for a 4th gen you just hold down the unlock button.

It's really simple, and I guess only for 5.5 gens...

You just hold down the unlock button for 2+ seconds and the front windows will begin to go down until you let it go. The funny thing is that you can't put the windows back up from the remote (stupid, I agree). But my friend's BMW is the same way, so I guess the stupidity runs between diff. car manufacturers.

Its a safety thing as far as being able to roll the windows up with the remote..... Yes the 00/01's did'nt get that feature but the 95-99's had it as well.

So just so everyone is on the same page and to beat a dead horse a bit:

2000 - Do NOT have steering wheel mounted audio controls.
2001-up - Do.

2000-01 - Do NOT have the remote controlled window "down" function.
2002-up - Do.
