G'day!

Is there a difference between Nissan Canada and Nissan North America?

I just called those customer service at Nissan Canada toll free number and I told them about the Nissan North America Service Bulletin.

She hummed and hawwed about whether it applies to Canadian vehicles or US vehicles...

Any opinions?

Thanks!

Just tell the rep that it applies to both. I recall though, that my dealership mentioned that some Canadian TSBs have different reference #s than the North American version. They also mentioned that they get their TSBs a bit later than the US. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you're having a lot of problems getting the TSBs done. Where are you in Canada?

I took my Max last week for 3rd oil change, and wanted them to take care of tranny bulletin(slippage)...the vin does not correspond to bulletins, and they could not feel it, so tough luck...no dice...

Left them the car whole day..had time to check it cold...I know it slips from 1st to 2nd...like talking to the wall...

Any recourse you guys (gals) can suggest...let me know...

The support line (1-800-helpmenissan) has just enough competance to read the owners manual, that is it! I have asked 2 questions of them and thier answers were... I'll let you decide.

Q1: (the first day I got the car) "Hi, how many kilometers do I have when the fuel light comes on? 10, 20, 50, 100?

A1: Uh, I am not sure, you should fill up as soon as the light comes on.

I have found out that I can easily do 50-100KM (30-50 miles)

Q2: What alternatives do I have to my 225/50R17s for winter tires?

A2: You cannot put anything other than the original size that was on your car.

Q2a: Yes, but the GXE which has a different size tire is the same car.

A2a: You cannot put anything other than the original size that was on your car.

Q2b: But I do not want to ruin my mags. I want to have steel wheels for winter. Doesn't the GXE come with steel wheels? Can't I put those on?

A2b: You cannot put anything other than the original size that was on your car.
