Lookin good! I'm still kinda looking for a set of '02-'03's for my '00 Icelandic pearl SE. Too bad Nissan didn't have the capability of putting the chrome one's on the light colored cars, and the dark tails on the dark colored cars!

Hmmm.... maybe... a majestic blue keyhole might not look too bad.... a blue emblem might look weird though... although your black scheme looks awesome...

I was trying for a black chrome look, but it's a bit darker than that. I used Testor's Boyd Pearl Grey for the emblem.

Blue key hole would be the way to go.

Thanks for the compliments from earlier and the tip... I might invest in some Nissan touch up paint for the keyhole and for various other parts of my car, sadly.

I might look into darkening the HID housing too....

Dark tails or no dark tails....? That is the question. I've been thinking about them for a while ( I have a Merlot SE) but when I walk around the car I like the contrast of the clear headlights in conjunction with the clear rears. Anyone have any good pics of the merlot with dark tails??? Thanks.

SE black tail lights

I care because I was thinking of doing the same thing on my 2003 SE. I bought the lights but have not installed them yet because I'm not sure if I want to. I think the black ones give it a more sporty look. Are you satisfied with the way it looks?

More than satisfied... I frickin love em... I wish I had better pics than the one posted above (mainly cuz my car is filthy, as always) but it looks soooo much better now.... my long term goal is to get tints, gun-metal rims, and also black-out the HID housing around the bulbs... just so you can see where this is going....

Btw, install is a breeze... it'll take ya less than 30 mins if ya know what you're doing...

I guess you're referring to these... yes, they are illegal (but so are most other mods for that matter)... I think there was someone somewhere who said that "they're only illegal if you get caught.... "

IMO, they don't like nice... more rice than nice... but hey, whatever right? Its your car and ya do what ya think is cool to be different....

Here's a website for anyone looking to buy new tails. The chrome ones are the least expensive and the all red ones are the most expensive...go figure.

Yeah you're correct. But which ones did you get? The SE taillights? or all clear one? Your pic looks like the all clear one. By the way, nice color max.

Thanks... it is a nice color...

Like I said in the very first post "I swapped my 2002 chrome tails out today for some 2001 SE tails... I love the way it looks now..."

Besides, I said that the clear ones were and implied that I'd never get em...

That is interesting...

Alternatively you can get em off eBay for between 50-60 plus shipping... all 3 kinds; chrome, red, dark....

The SE tails are legal... but the clear tails are not... I believe the tails have to reflect red and/or amber even in the day.

I don't believe amber turning bulbs are required because I think there are other cars that come stock with red turning signals... they have to be red or amber, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong....

Difference is that stock ones have reflectors and the all clear ones doesn't. And please don't get into the arguement of how lexus RX have the all clear ones because there has been a zillion threads about that discussion.

PS- puppet beat me to the reply.. LOL.. yeah amber or red turn signal is fine, both legal.
