has anyone ever played around with using the whole housing for the lights as opposed to the oval divided in half for brake/turn signal?? I was thinking more along the lines of using photo editing software because I know that's some serious fabrication that not just anyone could do.. Then again it might end up looking like a camry..<shudder> No flames please, purely hypothetical!

Yes, they will fit. Just make sure that you use the wiring harness from the 2k2 tail. Then it's plug and play.

If what I understand is correct... you want the ENTIRE housing to light up? I'm not exactly sure how good that will look... I actually can't imagine it looking too good at all... but maybe you'll prove me wrong if/when ya do it...

Blues is the only guy with more black going on than me

Joel the black tails are a great improvement (now, about that exhaust...)

Btw, install is a breeze... it'll take ya less than 30 mins if ya know what you're doing...
You have good taste! I was on track to do that to my O1 GXE - got the smoke tails, gunmetal rims. I had an appointment to tint my car but then I wrapped it around a tree. Totally feeling you on the design. Get gunmetal Motegi MR7s. Not much weight difference between stock but they do look awesome.
