Sunroof Problem!

Something is wrong with my sunroof. The one-touch feature doesnt work and the up/down button actually slides the sunroof back and forwards. Also, when i try to use the sunroof, it stops like every 6 inches. I have no idea what is the problem...

any suggestions?? please help.

thanks..

I have the exact same problem. Resetting the ecu (disconnect battery) works for only 3 to 6 days, then it does the same thing all over again. I have been told that lubing up the channels, then resetting the ecu will fix it, but I have not had the time to try that yet...

My sunroof does the same thing after resetting the battery, works for a few days then acts up all over again.

Turn key on. Push sunroof down button, make sure it's all the way down. After it's all the way down, continue pushing for 3-4 seconds, it should reset. Mine was the same way and this worked.

When mine did that a new sunroom motor fixed it. (the control board is mounted as a unit to the motor).

I have also fixed a similar problem by opening the roof all the way, removed the key, closed the sunroof, removed the key, tilted up the sunroof, removed the key, closed the sunroof, remove the key.

Unfortunately, my 00 did this also. My one-touch feature stopped working so I disconnected the battery, put it back on, and it never reappeared again.

Search through the past forums. I had the same problem and reset the computer the way it said in the forums rather than just disconnecting the battery and haven't had a problem in two months.

There is a TSB on this problem that suggests doing the holding down routine I mentioned!

he has a 2001. the reset procedure doesn't apply to his car. i;ve posted the fix to this problem about 25 times. shouldn't be tough to find.
