one last time....

sorry everyone, i'm confused as to which wire to cut to prevent my clock from dimming? i beleive that there was a debate between which one to cut for which year....

is there a way to link this to the gauge cluster and stereo so that on a rainy day i can still see teh clock with the headlights on? i can un-dim the stereo but not the clock.

thats what he is talking about. you cut the RED wire that goes into the clock. this prevents the clock from dimming with the headlights on

Yea but doesn't that make the clock stay bright all the time? Even at night when you don't want it to be bright?

i still want it to dimm with the headlights but i want to be able to change the brightness with the gauges and the stereo. will this do that?

i don't think so. most likely you have to wire it to the dimmer circuit to be able to control it. this is the way it should have been done from the factory.

i agree, is there anyway to do this. im not too familiar with the dimming circuitry.
