Front seat pattern!

I'm thinking about getting leather seats soon. My question is that can the pattern of the stitching. My stitching on my front seat have a vertical line going trhough the middle of the seat and the ones i really like are the ones with the horizontal stitching(looks more sporty). So let's say i would to order leather seat kit from katzkin, would i be able to order the horizontal stitching and put on my vertical stitching pattern seats? The reason i am asking is because i noticed that those covers have hooks on them from the inside and that is how the pattern are held together, so by having vertical line in the middle i'm worried that there is nothing to hook the horizontal stitches to.
please someone enlighten me on this subject!

I wouldn't know about that. Why do they have hooks on them. I thought pretty much is slip over the cushion and the latch on to the frame of the seat.

the hooks are there so that they wont be loose around the stitches, in order to keep it's form!
