LSD for Maxima?

I found some sites that have lsd's for our cars. I am confused. I thought we didn't have differentials. How does a limited slip Differential work on our cars (FWD)? would it be worth getting? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

It would allow power to be distributed evenly to both front wheels increasing overall traction and allowing you to launch better. Every car has a differential. The opposite of a LSD is an Open differential, which is what the car comes with unless otherwise stated.

So if i do a burnout only one wheel would spin? Im confused because both of my wheels will peel out fine. So have my last cars, I have never expirenced one wheel not spinning. Is my diff inside my tranny? sorry for the stupid questions...

lets stop spreading the wrong information. Pulling to certain sides is called torque steer, not associated with lsd or non-lsd

read this and if you still don't understand no one can help you

We have a differential built in with the transmission not a live axle like older RWD cars and trucks have.

Lets put it this way...
One wheel is on ice and one wheel is on dry pavement
The wheel on ice will keep spinning and the one on dry pavement wont. That is because all the power is being transferred to the wheel that is easiest to turn.

With a limited slip differential the power is transferred by the diff to the wheel that is on dry pavement so both will spin together.

Only in excessive wheel spin will the LSD effect acceleration. I have an VLSD in my car and it torque steers like crazy and I can only feel the effects of the limited slip when traction is elminated and even then it doesn't do that much.

i only feel the effects of lsd working during cornering on the track and during launching at the drag strip.

the car still has lots of torque steer just romping on it
