Paint lip

I'm painting my MT front lip next week and was wondering if I should install it and have them paint it with it on the car. Someone on the .org told me to install it and then take it off to have them paint it but that doesn't sound right to me. What do ya'll think?
Thanks

yup install it make sure it fits right, then take it off and have it painted. Do not leave it on the car to get painted, otherwise you're just asking for more trouble.

Exactly as they said. Check the lip for any fitment issues ( if any, resolve them before painting ) Then, paint the lip off the car and install it. It's very difficult to get proper coverage ( color and clear coat ) if the lip is mounted to the bumper already.
