BOSE system problem

Well this has been an ongoing problem for me and I'm sure that this was discussed before but I can't do a search so if anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciated. Got a BOSE system and it plays the radio stations fine but once I switch it to CD player it'll either play on one speaker, will play at very low sound. This happend everytime I seem to hit a bump. I took it to a dealership and they said that it would need to be taken out and sent somewhere for a check up and it'll cost me abour $900. Has this happened to anyone else and what would you say be the best solution for this. I got a 2002 Max GLE fully loaded. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Adam

It's a known issue with the stereo - there's a service bulletin (TSB) for it. Check the sticky for a list of the TSBs.
