Disassemble Fog Lamps
Has anyone ever disassembled fog lamps on a 2k or 2k1? I removed the 2 small screws located on side of each lamp and still having problems disassembling them. As posted on previous post, I am having problems fitting H3 HID's onto these lamps and would like to disassemble them and try a diffrent method of installation.
Thanks,
titot

i'm not sure about the two screws you're talking about, but if you take the lower panel off(splashguard) there is one 10mm/phillips screw that comes out from below, laying on your back is easiest, with the wheel turned to the outside. then the fodlight housing pushes out the front of the bumper cover, be sure to unplug the light socket first, otherwise it'll pull on the wires, and catch the light or it will hit the ground.

yea, after you remove the two screws you can heat them like headlights and get inside. I had to do to re-attach the a reflector that shook loose.
If you do it be sure to pry the lens off perfectly straight, dont do one side of the lens then the other, i tried that at first and marked up the outside edge of the lense pretty good.

No need to heat the lights or the housing. After that screw is removed, it takes a good bit of force to push the entire housing of the front of the bumper. Just wiggle it and push with some pressure, it will pop out with no damage to the light, wires or housing.
