Some new goodies installed, pics for those interested

About a month ago, Don installed the Eclipse AVN for me, but i didnt take pics of it until i got the trim piece installed. Still a gap at the top, but hes gonna take care of that next time I come back. He also put in Rainbow 6.5" front components with Arc Audio 6.5s in the rear, an Arc amp to power it all, including an 8" Arc sub in the Blose location that surprisingly bumps pretty hard for being free air.

I also got pics below of the SE tails (that you have ALL seen) as well as the Berk intake i just put in. and if anyone is wondering about purchasing the Berk, i can say the sound alone is MORE than worth it. very deep and throaty around 2500 at normal acceleration, and pretty loud and throaty at WOT. pics below

Definitley more stuff is on its way. Cattman has to get to making more strut bars! Soon its gonna be too cold to install stuff, haha.

Looks good. How is the fitment of the GXE trim piece? Mine doesn't fit right for some reason.

the fitment is....ok. around the AVN (except the top) the spacing is nice, but where the GXE piece meets the climate control unit, and there is that little curved design, you can see in the pic there is a 1/8" gap. i wanna see if i can stop that somehow, maybe it needs to be pushed down more, or maybe i cant, im not sure. the sides and top seem to fit ok.

mine and i assume Macs is from courtesy nissan, its an OEM nissan GXE part, not a dash kit. thats why its so strange that it isnt lining up right. unless it doesnt line up right in the GXE either, haha.

i got mine right from berktechnology.com. good price, might not be as cheap as some other intakes, but i am more than pleased with it. i havent had a chance to open the car up too much to test it, other than the sound factor, but like i said, that sound is almost worth the money for me.

Could you take a straight-on shot of the AVN and an upward shot through the trunk of the 8" sub? also, what trim piece are you referring to; the GXE or the double din aftermarket? thanks.

yeah, check with bryan, i didnt even think of that and just ordered it from their site.

thanks puppet, btw what does yours sound like under wide open throttle and around 2500 rpms? im really pleased with the sound, its a HUGE improvement over stock, and not intrusive at all.

shin, ill try and get those pics for you tomorrow if i can.

From what I can tell... there is a slight hissing sound and maybe an audible "gurgling" from 0-3000 rpms from the intake.... and then from 3000-4500 ya can't really tell its there, and then after 4500 is when it opens up and "roars"....

So I guess to answer your question... at around 2500 its only slightly louder than stock... and when ya say WOT, to me that means over 4500 rpms.... and its pretty darn loud then.... either way... its definitely a nice sound that wasn't there stock....

hmm, yeah at 4500+ mine definitley roars, but when im on maybe 1/4 throttle or less, its definitley a more throaty, deep growl than my last intakes. i like it. its slightly louder, but it sounds a lot better.
