Broken Rear brake piston boot jamming piston.HELP

I was changing rear brake pads and had to twist and push the brake piston back as usual but noticed the rubber boot is twisted and is jamming the piston from screwing in or out. I finally did manage to screw it back in enough to get the caliper on but with a lot of force and sweat. Anyone experienced same problem? I had same thing happen on the other rear brake so i changed the boot, but its so much work to change it. Iam trying to find out if this is another one of those maxima's annoying problems or its just my car.
