Be Careful...
Broken Lock-Lug Nut!!! Damn it!!
I broke my lock-lug nut yesterday while tightening the bolt. A piece was stuck inside the lock key, but I got it out.
Has this happen to anyone before? Do you just go to the dealership and ask for another lock but to match your set, or do you get a new set? Should I just go to pep boys and get another set myself?
I better pray I don't get a flat on that tire, I forgot to bring my pillars along just in case...

broken lock lug
Wow, I have never in my life heard of someone busting one of those lugs. Are you one of those guys who competes in those "Strong Man Competitions"? I would probably go to Pep Boys or something and save a little $. You can probably find better quality outside of Nissan anyway.
That's happened to me too, sort of. I stripped out the inside of the nut, the key was fine. I had to have the nut drilled off. Get a set of nice wheel locks from an auto parts store, the Nissan ones suck.
Oh yeah, be sure to only torque them to the right spec. I think you, being a big guy standing on the wrench, may have just twisted to damn hard.

A good rule of thumb if you have to change the tire yourself is to tightening it until it stops BY HAND, drive about 30 feet, then retighten BY HAND. If you overtighten, you are bounds to warp your rotors.
