Question.
I have 235/45 17's on my 2000 GXE Max, if I lower my car will the fender rub on my tire? Do I need to roll my fender?

Isn't that the size which comes on the car? I have factory 17's and my car doesn't come close to rubbing with the H&R drop of 1.5. I think that is only an issue if you upgrade to 18~19~20's.

 

I think people have been lowering their SEs with 17" wheels and tires other than the stock 225s... Most seem to be going with some sort of 235...

 

almost ALL 235 24 17 requires 17x7.5 inch rims. Putting this tire on stock 17x7 rim will cause wheel damage or may be very dangerous./

 

I have 17X8 Konig Villians, I don't know what the offset is. I just notice that the tire is wide enough so that it goes out to the edge of the fender. So if the fender would drop down it would hit the tire. If I lower it and I hit a speed bump would the springs compress enough to bring the fender in contact with the fender?

NEWSFLASH! 235/45 tires will not rub, I repeat 235/45 tires will not rub as long as you have a 17x8 with a 38mm offset!
