Tein SS vs Tein Flex..

First of all, whats the difference? Is one kit better than the other? Im looking at getting a new setup for my car, and doing the preliminary research. Any comments on the Teins, especially from those who own them would be appreciated

thanx!

unless I am missing something they don't make flex series for the maxima. But I do remember seeing the flex for the maxima on ebay but thought it was mix up.

MyownNismo, you're correct. Maxima-Ness they only have the SuperStreet's from Tein for our Max's. Well, as far as coilovers go. They also have the S-Tech's and the H-Tech's as well, for typical coil spring drops. I don't have the SS, but I have S-Tech's in my '00 SE, and they're pretty good. I wanted a low drop, not too stiff, and I figured I probably wouldn't adjust the height much...........so they were perfect. Maxima-Ness, are you looking for something needs to be height and ride adjustable? Because unless you're the type to change the height of your Max every week, ( which I used to be when I had my Koni's and Ground Control's ) you can get away with a regular set of springs and a set of adjustable shocks for almost 1/2 the price of SuperStreet's. A bunch of guys on the org are running a S-Tech and Illumina combo, and they seem pretty happy. You get the benefits of a nice ride height, and adjustable dampening. If coilovers are a must, you can also check into JIC or the GD section for D2's. Hope this helps, and happy researching!

the good thing about Tein SS is that they are damper adjustable, and can be paired with the Tein EDFC, so you can control the dampening level from inside your car!

Very True, and I must admit, very cool. But, if you're gonna spend $1200 for coilovers, plus another $400 for the EDFC, I hope you got deep pockets!

very true, but if you're going all out on coilovers, you might as well go ALL out
