stillen lip kit

I purchased a full body stillen lip kit and was wondering what would be the best way to mount it. I'm sort of confused as to how to mount the side
molding. Any suggestions.

What 2 sided tape did you use? The one that came with the kit?

if you're going to do it on yourself then at least get someone to help, otherwise it will be a pia and you'll probably end up adjusting it a couple times to get it right.

that said...use 3M double sided tape and at least 3 screws/for each side skirt along the door sill. and one on the front front and back inside the wheel well.

I would actually recommend test fitting it first, then marking the area to be mounted ( tape/screw ), then painting it. You really don't want to mess with any fitment issues after it's been painted.

No, don't use 3M. Go to Home Depot and buy this thing called liquid nail or something like that approx $2 a bottle enough to use on 4 side skirts. Make sure u know someone that has good coacking skills. Put it front to back of the side skirts and hold it for couple of hours then u will have the best mounted side skirts. If u want, u can put couple of screws on the mud guard area for a sure secure. I know this from exprience, 3M will come loose after a while and u will have flapping side skirts.

Make sure you get the 3M tape that has the red backing. That's the type for OUTDOORS use. I hope to oneday get the stillen sides, but I'm still hoping that oneday they'll come out with something different that looks just as good, but what can your really do with sides? Just about nothing besides what stillen did.

I used 3M molding tape along w/ few rivets on each side of wheelwell. I didn't use liquid nail because I knew I needed to pull away my Stillen lip to remove my foglight housing.

I'm not sure about using Liquid Nails on your car. We used to use that stuff to caulk and seal subwoofer boxes at the stereo shop I used to work at. I don't think it would be a good idea to get that stuff on your paint, because if you ever need to remove the side skirts.......................uh, you're screwed! If you're gonna go that "permanent" mounting route, do it right and have a reputable body shop mold the skirts in and paint. At least that way, you can have a better chance of a good color match. Just my .02!
