emanage or SAFC 2
#2
hard to compare the two considering one does so much more than the other.
e-manage: piggyback ECU mgnt unit
s-afcII: fuel trim modifier
depends on what you plan to do with your car in the future. s-afcII will suffice most if not all NA modifications. E-manage would be a good investment for boost later in the future as it can perform the same functions as the s-afc

Emanage can do sooo much more than S-AFCII- I have both on 2 diff cars. S-AFCII can compensate for a few things people are not aware off, but for the $$$ you can't beat the S-AFCII. Get a good wideband 02 sensor system- around 400 bux, and tune the car yourself. For boosted applications with not alot of HP over stock S-AFCII will do fine, but once ya get into timing controll, and fine tuning its starts to loose to the Emanage. For NA S-AFCII is enough, not much power to be gained with tuning the timing map on a NA engine with the added cost of the Emanage system with injector and ignition harness plus a laptop- or Profec E01 boost controler ( which is not a wise investment on a NA engine runing no boost).

This thread is very interesting, I believe e-manage has few options, which one should I buy right from the beginning, let say I'm taking the S/C intercooled route. I want to start with 3.125 pulleys and deal with stock injector and fuel pump for now, just so I can learn a bit more about the fuel tuning and all that stuff, then in a second step, I guess I would need walbro fuel pump, bigger injectors, oh what about the maf > Z32 or whatelse.
Any comments ?

i'd go with the walbro fuel pump first, especially with the 3.125 pulley.
if your planning on upgraded injectors and what not later on, e-manage is a good investment with all the options you can do with it later on
