Ways to black out your car?

I wana make my car alllll black but my door handles r chrome and my lights r red in the back and blinkers. Is there anyway to black out the rear lights and the side blinkers without getting new ones. spray paint or window tint or something?

look at my website...I forget which page...I've blacked out side markers, grill, and a few other things. Also check out Bluesbrekr's site. He's done everything I have, plus the chrome trim around the doors and other stuff.

nightshade on eaby. it is paint that lets the light through it but looks black. trim around the windows you need black tape from a local auto store. door handles, you are going to have to paint or get black ones.

can u get nightshade from like a local auto shop/store? and do u have to paint the inside of the signal markers or can u jus paint it on the outside without taking them off?

Take them off, so you can get the edges. I used dupli-color gloss black enamel paint. 1 thin coat, just enough to cover the lens completely, and 2 coats of gloss clearcoat. In the day, it is a perfect match to the car's paint. At night, they shine through nicely (as you can see in the pics on my website)

they sell the testor tint spary at a hobby shop or toy shop. black rims would look nice, along with black emblems, and trim and tints, and black housing, you can tint the clear housing too, that would look sick.

How about ways to "blue" out your Max? Just kidding... well, not really... after seeing Irish's and Bluesbrker's black outs, I've been wanting to do something to my majestic blue... I've some ideas... but haven't had time to try em yet.... although they're more like adding more black to get rid of the nasty chrome that's all over the car.... just gotta figure out some blue things to do....

You should have gotten black, Puppet.......j/k...but doing stuff in blue will be a challenge.

Here's a few pics trying to black out as much as I can. Tint, blacked out window trim, smoked corners, painted grille and emblems, painted key holes, AE dark tails, debadged trunk..

Dayam Car Domain....I hope the pics come back.

I'm not 100% sure about the legality of the corners. The light comes through....about 50% of the stock light. And there is some reflectivity to the smoked lens. So far, I have not had any problems.

Irish dude told me that it's not guna pass some test. Plus I already got limo tints in all 4 windows so I don't wana do anything else that would be illegal.

Well, just go with clear corners with amber and red bulbs. I think that's legal.

1. $40-$60 bucks for all 4... got mine over 2 years ago, don't know what they are now....

2. Amber and red bulbs make the clears "legal" at night (at least they attract less attention) instead of driving with bright white bulbs in the corners, which in states where cops care, are a signal for "hey, look, I've got illegal lighting". However, if ya wanna be 100% legal, ya need to reflect amber or red regardless of whether its day or night.

incorrect...rear must REFLECT red and front must REFLECT orange.
that being said...having colored bulbs will make them LOOK more legal when its dark and decrease your chances of getting pulled over. bright @ss white lights will stand out since no other car looks like that (except riced out hondas)

Btw, cars with stock clear corners have amber/red reflective strips on the sides of their bumpers usually to comply with some laws.... just thought this might come up....

BTW, if you are trying to make the side markers blend in more dont get the clear ones...they will stand out more on black then the stock ones. and if they stand out it will look bad and cops can see it

they look better on lighter cars since they blend in better then the red/amber

would it be dumb to have clear sidemarkers up front (to match headlights) and keep the rear ones red (to match the tali lights)? I think someone mentioned this before, but I dunno...

EDIT: ouh, 'smoking' them might be cooler, less conspicuous, and all-around less ricey. And less

IIRC, someone here has the clears in the front and reds in the back, but I don't remember who, or what color the car was. I thought it looked good.
