Why? If it's thought that these lights would not produe a high level of light output and not provide a distraction for drivers, what purpose would pulling [you] over serve?

What? How are you going to be staring at your fogs while driving?

It's funny how you guys claim rice. Have you actually seem any car with that before? Calling something "rice" usually comes from a stereotype, which putting a blacklight in your fogs cleary isn't.

Nobody has seen a car with that before for several reasons:
1. Functionally, it makes no sense at all....actually a LOSS of light vs. OEM fogs. The theory about lighting up highway signs and license plates is nice, but highway signs and license plates already light up just fine with normal lights....
2. I seriously doubt anyone makes a black light H3 bulb.
3. It's certainly illegal
4. With headlights on, the blacklight fogs would not be visible anyhow...

btw, "rice" has nothing to do with stereotype, it's simply another way of saying something is tacky, gaudy, silly, idiotic, goofy, stupid, without purpose, pointless, without style, ugly, etc etc etc....

we all have different things we thing are "ricey" but most here just use the term to describe one of the above qualities that any certain mod may have. I'm sure I have done stuff on my car that people consider rice, as have we all....

And how many mods have you and alot of other people on here done that make no sense at all?

Agreed

Once again, this goes to my point about mods people have on their car that are "certainly illegal" or for "zero functionality".

Actually what you said and what I said are opinions on what rice means. I am not saying stereotyping something is rice is bad, I certainly do it. And the qualities you pointed out would fit some part of someone's explanation of rice.

I didn't say that the blacklight fogs don't "make sense" straight up.
I said they didn't functionally make sense. Functional, meaning that they would have an actual FUNCTION that would make them an improvement over OEM fog lights. They would be a cosmetic mod only, and would be LESS functional than OEM fogs (which are ****-poor to start with)....

so from a cosmetic point of view, perhaps they make sense (depending on personal preference).

but from a functional point of view, they do not.

That was my point.

Ok, so it might be some kind of stereotype.....but would be more along the lines of stereotyping as a "nerd" anyone who wears striped tube socks, pegs their pant cuffs, and has thick black-framed glasses taped in the middle.

In that case, the person may actually be a fun/interesting/cool person, but he gets the "nerd" tag because he has really bad fashion sense....who knows....the whole "rice" thing is actually a bit of a racial slur towards those of asian descent, but when I say "ricer" I'm referring to a tacky, gaudy, stupidly-modded vehicle, not necessarily even a japanese car. I've seen Riced-out Dodge Neons driven by rednecks from Western Virginia....still ricey, though there's nothign asian about em

It seems like you are still going for the "I am offended by the word rice" routine. I am not. I was just pointing out a fact. And as my last post mentioned, I refer to cars as ricers as well. Therefore, I don't have a problem with "ricer". I think it is an aptly assocaited name.
