Poor maxine, slightly injured...

I was on my way to work friday evening. I was on a two lane street in which the left lane was a left turn only(to get onto a highway) and the right lane was for going straight. I was in the right lane approaching a green light, the light where the cars in the left turn left. There were maybe 2 cars in the left at the light waiting for traffic to the oncomming side to stop so they could get over, and a green camery behind them. The light turns yellow and I have it in my head that I'm going because there is more than enough time for me and even the car behind my to go. The camery decides to get into the right and stop for the light that just turn yellow, giving me no time to stop. I slammed on the brake and felt the abs kickin in and do nothing because the ground was wet from rain all that day. At that time, it was drizzling. There was a car on my left next to me and a high sidewalk and gaurdrail on my right, so I tried my best to wedge myself between the car and the sidewalk/grass area. I scraped up along side of it until my side view mirror was between the front and rear doors of the crapy. Of course this is going to be my fault as there is no way for me to prove anything. Her car has maybe $400 worth of damage as it is mainly a dent on the passanger side rear bumper and deep scratches. I have a few dents at my wheel well and my driver side door is scuffed. Molding is scratched and rear driver side door is slightly pushed in at the bottom, not noticible really. Here are 2 pictures I took with my phone while sitting there with the cars next to each other because the b*tch refused to move.

I had a simulair situation.
A month ago I was on flatbush ave heading toward the manhattan bridge. Flatbush is a busy 3 lane per side street with another 2 lanes or parked cars. Well it was raining and it was early morning, rush hour. I was doing 30 in the right lane and i was late to get to school. All of a sudden, a car from the middle lane just cuts me off and heads to the end of a block. During this time the light changes from yellow to red and the car slams on its brakes. He gets to stop but he did it so fast and I was soooo close to him!

My ABS went off and I immediatly dropped the shifter from D to 1.
Not because I thought of it but because I hit the brakes so hard, I used it for levrage. That helped but I did still hit the car.

The impact was around 10mph, the road was wt and I skidded. On my bumper, I got a rubber peice going in front which took some of the impact. On the other car, the bumper dented in a bit, but the woman driver was in a rush so we just went our seperate ways.

**** like this sucks especially when you love your car so much and you are blammed cause of the stupidity of another driver.

it is not your fault if she cut you off. if you have any witnesses that can say she cut in front of you, it will be her fault and you are scott free... better yet get her to say that she moved in front of you.

It's seemed not your fault from the picture cause it clearly shows that it was the camry that cut into your lane and hit you from the side. The camry is at fault.

Yea, I have the craptenzas. I wanted to get new tires before winter, but I didn't really have the money. I bet that if I had real tires it would have been as bad. I'm just so pissed that I have to get screwed over like this, right when I was getting ready to put money into an air intake, ud pully, and rotors, this happens. I just can't win. Bad year for me and maximas, after my '96 going on fire in june and now this...

Yea it is... my gf had a gorgeous blk '97 max. She wrecked it when some dumba$$ going through an intersection noticed an ambulance coming from about a mile away & decided to slam on the brakes hardcore in the middle of the intersection w/ a green light.
Now she's stuck driving an '01 Sentra & she hates how slow it is. Poor girl.

Wow, didn't realize it would be so expensive to fix. $750, this is a joke. I'll post pictures maybe tomorrow. It just looks like scrapes and a dent, but the guy said the door isn't straight, its pushed in. It does feel wavey when you run your hand along it. This sucks.
