New Exhaust
New Exhaust
My '00 Maxima needs a new exhaust. Midas quoted me about $600 for the exhaust from the cat back to the muffler. I know that it would be knock off parts. The local Nissan dealer wants about $900 for just the parts.
I know so many people have replaced their exhausts. I just need a new one, I don't need any increase in performance or anything. I'm figuring I can get the parts cheapers elsewhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, I tried to use the search, but since I'm a new user, I don't have that previlege.

It can be bought in 2 main sectional parts, such as b pipe, thats from the cat to the rear muffler, and of course the muffler itself, Odds are you do not have to replace everything from the cat back.
WHat's wrong with it?

I'm gonna take a look tomorrow to see exactly where the problem is. Most of the exhaust has a lot of rust, being from New Hampshire. I found a few full exhaust kits, but I was hoping some folks could point me in the right direction on where to find the parts on-line.
Thanks!
Thanks!
If ya want the stock exhaust, check out the 5th Gen Classifieds forum... sometimes people on here sell theirs when they go aftermarket. I sold mine with 30k miles for $150. I'm sure that you can find some.
Also, did ya try looking at junkyards? Might be able to find a stocker there for a lot less than 600-900 bucks.... worth a shot...

our just post in the wanted section or even here asking if anyone will sell you their old ones...just need to tell them your year of Maxima. So many people have replaced their stock exhaust, I'm sure someone has kept their stock exhaust in the closet or garage collecting dust.
