I've had my car since August 2000 and it's still fine. I day if you don't have problems with your battery and the fluid levels are fine, when replace it if it's good. I say get it checked out at autozone and see if it's got enough volts and if it's good, why replace it?

I would recommend spending the extra few bucks and getting the red top. It is a much better battery and will be able to handle more strain.
