clearing out HIDs, need pointers.

I just got some HID housings from Tripple8sol, and I'm clearing them out. I have the housings apart already, cleaned out and all- buffed out all the road debris damage. I took out the amber turn signal lens, but I would like to put a clear piece in there, any info where I can buy these online ? I have everything to put these all back togheter, just want the clear lens. Any info ? What do you guys think of blacking out the housings, I am kinda debating if I should do that also.. but I'm thinking it will look kinda goofy on my black car.

Post this in our local forum Mike. Hector & Dave did a great job w/ mine. We bought the lens from menards. You need a dremel to make it fit in the signal opening tho.
You should definately black out the housing. It looks AWESOME on black maxes. Here are some pics of my headlights w/ the blk housings...

blackbird,

i defer you to housecor's excellent site, and directions.

Go get the malibu light at home depot.
That's what it's in my car, as well as most of everyone elses who did the cleared out turn signals.

My newley purchase 2k2 HID are open for the DDE installation. While the housing is open I though of doing something special so I painted the dark brown platic insert with some nice metallic black paint, it is really sharp I'll drop some pics when I'm finish with the project, as for the orange lense I'm still debatting about clearing it, is there any legal issue ? it wouldn't be fun to get a ticket for clearing the orange lense, I mean it's not a 5 minutes thing like the clear side marker.

Cheers

As long as you still have the amber bulb inside (or one that lights up amber), you should be good to go.

Recently I was pulled over for the clear corners but the cops let me go without ticket I had amber bulb in front and red in back. I guess I'm going to keep the orange reflector.

Thanks
