I get a creaking sound from the drivers seat on my Maxima QX 2.0SE (European RH drive model). The seat is cloth covered and is manually adjusted. Anyone else experience problems like this.

 

What year model is it?

I think the 2.0 QX was unchanged from 99 to 2000. Nissan then changed it to the 2001+ Infiniti I30 / I35 platform (for those of us in the States and Canada). Essentially, it would have been an Infiniti I30 (or very similar to a 4th Gen Maxima) in 2000 or an I30 / I35 (or very similar to the 5 / 5.5 Gen Maxima) in 2001 - 2003 for those who do not know what the rest of the world's Maximas look like.

That being said, you may also want to ask in a couple of places. First being the I30 / I35 forums. The other being the 4th Gen forums (only if its a 2000 or below).

IIRC, the none of the Infinitys came with manual seats, much less cloth. He's better off asking here as the 00-01 GXE (and some very stripped down SE's) had manual cloth seats (don't know about the 02 GXE).

 

Very true. I think the car is basically a Maxima GXE. However, in Europe you can order cars pretty much how you want (at least on European cars) meaning you can get power front windows but not power rear windows. Heat manual seats. Leather with manual windows and locks. Things like that. Its more up to the consumer but everything costs and its not like we have here where everything is packaged. At least that was the last I saw of how it worked from years previous. But you are definately right about the seats from what I can remember, too. I don't recall seeing many (if any) I30 / I35s with manual or cloth seats.
