I hear a similar noise from mine and it seems to be the fan for my heater or something. It comes and goes based on whether I have the fan on or off. I just turn the radio up

same

I can sometimes hear mine doing so, too. I usually just "tick tick" back and talk to it, some real quality time with the car, keeps me very awake while driving...

I think i have the same prob, I think its the the plastic piece where the heat comes out for the front windshield defroster, its the plastic piece that spreads the air. I know its a bad description but i think thats where the noise is comin from, when your driving over bumps hold that piece with your hand and see if that stops it.

I too have that problem. Problem something in the ventilation system or else just hitting the fan. It's not major, only when the a/c or heat is on. I just noticed in about a week ago. With all the mods, don't trust the dealer to tell me it's gonna be fixed under warranty.

I just start to hear a ticking noise coming from the back of my car today, it just got cold as hell this couple of days. It seems the noise is coming from my rear wheel or something, sounded more like some paper is flapping. It's too cold and I am too lazy to look if anything is wrong so I am just going to wait to let it get worst first. If anyone has the same problem and knows how to fix it, please let me know. Thanks

I think its at the bottome of the windshiled Right behind the dash closck. because when im driving over bumps, if i push my finger against the glass exaclty behind the the dash clock it stops making the tapping noise, when i let go it comes back, and now i havent heard it in like 2 weeks, it comes and goes..

It sounds like you guys are describing about three different noises here. I know from experience that the fan rattle is simply the fan dieing a slow and painful death. Basically your fan motor bearings are going. I went to a junkyard and picked up an 02 fan for my 03 (they have different harnesses) and forced it to work. Luckily the plugs match up, but the clips were different. The only way to fix it is to replace it. The fan ended up costing about $65 and took around 10 minutes to replace. Stealership wanted $300.

These cars don't fair wellin the REAL cold. Mine has all kinds of funny noises in these temps. Since our cars have many plastic parts the cold contracts them and the heat expands them. I find after I have driven the car for a good while and it gets nice and warmed up these noise seem to go away. Luckily I can park my car in a grage at night and I feel for those who have to leave their cars out in the elements. I know what it is like to try to start a frozen car. My .02

Ya, that's why the rattle is worse in the cold. Still, the fan is shot...

Clicking noise

My 2k Se made this noise from new (and still does). It seems to be coming from the center vents. When I have the heat on and direct it thru the center vent the noise stops. If cold it will click. It is annoying, but I didn't want the dealer to screw up the car trying to fix it so I just live with it.

I have this noise also. However, I found that my noise was related to wires bouncing around under the dash. Get some wire ties and/or duck tape and just secure everything under your dash.

I agree...lol, I have heard a few things on my 350 and Max since it has been in the high teens low 20's here in Dallas (I just turn the tunes up because I know my previous Maximas and Z's did this as well). When its warm I dont here them, my sisters 04TL is the same way she called me and asked me why her car was making funny noises, squeaks etc. I told her join the club its the cold.
