another hid thread

I know everyone hates the HID threads. I bought a 2000 se to sit next to my 96 g?e. Good for me. Anyways...

Can the headlight for a 2k2 or 2k3 be swapped into a 2k? I know i would prolly need the balasts, but is there any tricky things that are going to happen to me when I try this?

Also, anyone know a good place to pick up some 2k3 hid light/lens/etc?

I read about 8 previous pages of the forum and i finally just said f-it. I know you are all going to hate me now...well, prolly everyone with a 2k2/3...it seems to be the way it works here.

well, from my drive to l.a. from minnesota in a 2k3 with hid, I would say they are better for night driving, brighter, span farther out...etc

Yes, but they are great if they come with the car. I would just get some better bulbs for driving lights and fogs instead of wasting the money. You choice. Somebody will eventually chime in and tell you where to get them. I think EBAY has replica sets.

I was kinda leaning that way from the start...i just figured if it was easy and not too expensive i might as well get the HID's.

What are some good bulbs to get?

And since we are on the subject, whats the deal with led bulbs for the tail/turn markers...bad idea....I think they are a lil brighter...but I am not sure if they are legal in most states... More cosmetic if anything?

If you got the money, get HIDs. The light up the road much better than regular halogens.
