Warranty Inquiry...

I recently bought my max with the extended warranty (5yr/100K). I'm goin to the dealership (Nissan Route 1 Woodbridge) 2moro to initate the transfer warranty process into my name. Also, i'm goin for my 30K mile tune up check up, which will cost me $499. If I go to my personal mechanic to get the tune up, will i void my warranty? or does it depend on the conditions of the extended warranty. I have the pre-owned extended warranty. Also, damn, the upkeep for the max in long run seems expensive.

30k miles, do a tire rotation, and check your belts yourself.. avoid fees while your car is under warranty.. if it ain't broke, Don't fix it! dealers HATE warranty, and they will do EVERYTHING possible to squeze some $$ from you. don't give in.. at 30k miles, the only think you should really be conserned with is tire rotation, maybe balance, and alignment if you want.

but to answer your question, you can go where ever you want, it won't void your warranty, as far as i know.

it wont void your warranty. Don't pay the dealer for nothing. Like Ikalinin said, you rotate the tires and change the oil....Look at this if you think the dealer is actuallyu going to do a service worth $499 then do this..... change the oil, rotate the tires and wait two hours without doing a thing......you just went to the dealer... and save $375 for gooooodies.......

You can have whoever you want do the maintenance. Just keep good records and save your receipt. Chances are, you'll never need the records, but I always save them just in case.

thx for the advice, i forgot to ask the dealership what a 30K miles tune up entails. if the tune up involves a tire rotation, alignment, wheel balance, and oil change, then its not worth it. I'm just goin to take care of the transfer and check if any recalls are needed for my max. thx, again.

Along with what others had stated, I would also say get your transmission
flush to replace the fluid if you didn't put any of the original miles. Good luck
in whatever you do.
