When i accelerate at LOW (0-30) speeds i get a clicking/knocking noise coming from my engine. It isnt very loud, but i can hear it. It steady makes the clicking/knocking noise while i accelerate. I cannot figure out what the hell it is. Does anyone have ANY clue what this could be?? any help would be appreciated...

I get the same noise... anyone have any ideas? It happens quite frequently... almost sounds like there are rocks or something that are caught in a catalytic convertor shield or something..

I sometimes hear it too...maybe check your heat shields to see if they are rattling on anything. It's a start at least.

what type of y-pipe do you have? I have a 1st gen stillen y-pipe that came with a smaller flex section so it banged against the brace/bracket near the catalytic converter area when accelerating

I have the same problem, only happens during full acceleration. Nissan told to change the coils, I did and seem to be ok for a couple of days. I jus heard it again the other day. What to do????

what kind of gas are you using? make sure that you use higher than 91. don't forget to check your oil level.

I got 80,000 miles on mine. I use 93 octane for past couple months, the clicking seemed to not be as bad once I started using 93 octane. Brand new nissan coils were just installed last week. Havent been on the highway yet since I installed them.

it may be your cats breaking up and ratteling under light acceleration withing the catalitic converter housing.

I feel that nissan's engines have very loud valve ticking noises, not just VQs.

precats they go...
But this post refers to nemmehs one. they tend to rattle on light accel not heavy. They won't click or knock
Your noise could be a number of things... Should get it looked at, probably a motor mount or something...
