is the car shuddering when you drive it? when one of my coils was going bad, the car would do the vibrating thing randomly once a week for 30 secs then stop. i got it fixed within two weeks, no problem.

Well its not good for the car. Usually when u have a bad coil (coil not working) you will know it by the car vibrating and all. I had a bad coil which i could wiggle around and the coil would work again for 2 weeks to one month. This is a chance u have to decided if u want to take.

I dont know if its a good idea to take a long trip with bad coils, not only can it hurt your car but you can also end up stranded. Hope everything works out though.

I didn't think of wiggleing it around I will try that before I leave. I know that I have bad coils because the codes say so and my car shudders when im driving slow or at a stop light. Feels like my abs is kicking back at me at all times or something. How exactley is it bad for the car what harm can it cause. I don't have a choice I need to drive the car to go to my moms for Christmas. It's only two hours round trip. Any info would be really helfpful. Thanks!

what you are experiencing is MISFIRING...it can damage your engine and cat. i'd say get a rental and get them replaced ASAP

I agree with Zippin. if u can not get the car to run normally maybe after playing around with the coil. Get a rental.

I drive mine for a month or so before replacing; I took trips upwards to 300 miles. Gas mileage sucked, I do believe. Car FELT fine after it warmed up.
