How to take out auto shift plate in 03 max?

Hi,tommorow I need to take out the auto shift plate (thing with the numbers,gears on it) but don't know how.The reason I need to take it out is because its scratched up.
So if some one knows how to take it out please tell me,I need to know by tommorow so I can get it fixed.

Plastic shift cover? Use a screwdriver and wedge from the back (closest to the arm rest).
