dash trim kit?

I am thinking about getting a BRUSHED ALUMINUM DASH TRIM KIT from Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting
Has anyone gotten one of these put on before? Does it look as nice as the pic or is it a bit tacky?
Any advice/comments before I do it?

That is an ok kit. I have been extensively looking for a solid kit and this site has a real nice setup. Check them out before you buy.

if you get a kit...pay the extra for a molded kit. it is well worth the extra money.

Where did you get your's soonerfan? Also, either you didn't put the pieces on or you got a basic kit? I see nothing for the clock and the radio and a/c controls.

it is just the basic kit...IMO the radio/climate pieces are just to much.

What all is involved to install these kits? How easy is it to do? I didn't even know they made them, but they look really good.

OK I just read that it is put on with 3m double sided tape or something... how well does that hold? And most importantley how flush will it be with the car. I am very picky. I would like it to look as if it came from the factory.

Question, if you got a kit and dont like and want the real deal, can the old one be pulled off and then the new one put one w/out any problems?

Sure. It's kinda tough to pull off the old kit though because tape is very sticky.

So you have the kit from CE installed on your Maxima? You don't like it? Can you please post some pics?

I have a brushed alluminum molded kit on mine like soonerfans but I have the light grey interior. Check my cardomain page for pics on page 11 I think. Not the greatest pics but you can see it a little. I'll get more up some time.

Thanks for the pics. I guess I will stay away from that kit. Sucks though cause CE charges plenty for that kit, sorry it doesn't work well.

At least your misfortune will educate others. I have the same tan interior. I plan to paint some of the interior black and get black carpeting. I think it might help.
