Bose speaker problem

I just got my 2001 AE Maxima and was enjoying the sound quality of the Bose system relative to my last car (1983 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible with 1 out of 4 working speakers), but over the last few days, it's been developing a rather irritating clicking noise. Has anyone else experienced this/know what's causing it/know how to fix it?

Clicking? It's most likely the actual head unit. Very, very common.

Well, I'm sure that'll be affordable to replace

Is it more of a "tick tick tick tick" noise? And do your CDs sometimes have weird static noises in the car, but sound fine on every other CD player?

The sound is more like a "tick tick tick tick", it sounds like the click of a mouse on a computer

Yep. It's the headunit. I suggest using Verbatim Vinyl CD-Rs and don't burn more than 15 songs onto the CD. I've noticed that the CDs will tick and crack the worst when they're crammed with music -- even the Verbatim Vinyls. This doesn't happen with real CDs right? It doesn't for me.

I just noticed today that my stereo plays the right chanell fine, but the left sounds like a muttered out muffled sound struggling to come out of the left hand speakers. This is ONLY the case with the cd player and ONLY affects the left chanell. Everything worked the perfectly about 2-3 days ago when i last used the cd player... what could this be? If I can't figure it out i might have to take it in for warranty... do they void it if you have subs. I am quite frustrated now...

edit: it isnt the cds i am using as they worked perfectly before.
