Even with the b-pipe it's still not to loud. I'd get the b-pipe too.

I'm gonna do the same setup as well. Get a Y pipe, and keep stock Bpipe and muffler. I'm planning on getting the Stillen Y pipe. So far haven't heard any fitment issues with the stillen Ypipe. Unlike budget or cattman. Although Cattman i heard is real good. Plus my cat is leaking and i keep getting the nasty egg smell in my cabin when i floor it.

What kcowden said. If you keep the stock muffler, it won't be loud, but you can hear a little rumble (nice). BTW, I have had no problems with Cattman.

So there was no fitment issues? Any weird noise? Was it just plug and play? I just don't wanna keep taking days off from work to run to the shop to modify to perfection over and over.. lol. I'm deciding over cattman vs stillen.. so confusing.

Mostly every one here on the org recommends the Cattman. They say better performance gains and great quality, customer service, and fitment. Although I can't say from experience.............still stock.

My Cattman Ypipe broke its flex pipe 4 times, I'm on my 2nd Ypipe from them, it also cracked in the Y part of the pipe, where the 2 cylinder heads merge togheter. Its on now temporarilly while I wait for something bigger, I absolutely hate my Ypipe. One time the hanger broke off the Ypipe and put a big azz hole in the Ypipe. I dunno I got one of the 1st Cali Spec ones but geeez I think I coulda made a Ypipe that lasted longer than this one myself !

I do have a set of Cattman headers for my car to be installed, just waiting around cause I have a turbo kit in the works, dunno if I wanna put them on again, and take them off when I am ready to put the turbo piping on.

I got mine used on Ebay Yes all header packages for Maximas- other than the cheap OBX crap on Ebay, all come with Yipes. They are special HEADER ONLY Ypipes which will not work on your car without the headers, nor will the headers work with a normal Ypipe designed to work with factory exhaust manifolds (headers).

I think that the newer Cattman Y-Pipes are made better than earlier ones and have a stronger flex section. You could contact Cattman and ask. They are good to talk to. MIne has been on for about 5 - 6 months. It bolted up nicely. After my first runs, I had to adjust the B-Pipe in the hangers because of slight rattle. I think the torque from the launches moved it slightly. I feel more power in mid range, but only gained about a tenth in the 1/4. I'll try again this spring/summer, but I am very satisfied with the setup.

I like the sound, just the right resonance levels at WOT.

I have the Frankencar intake, Cattman Y-Pipe and B-Pipe with a OEM muffler. You can see my previous post, but sound is not too loud (low growl/rumble) at normal throttle but noticable at WOT. I feel some extra power in mid range.

no its not. The noise is hard to describe. But my setup really accentuates the scream of the VQ rather than being drowned out by intake and exhaust noises. I should try to get up my vid of the de-k at 7100 rpm
