Mountain driving

Just got back from traveling over Hwy 88 in northern Cal. What an awesome drive in my 2001 Max Se. Hwy 88 is a windy , most of the time 2 lanes, and summits at over 8000 ft. No problem negotiating the windy road and unbelievable passing abilities. I was totally stoked!! Makes driving over the Sierras a blast. >
I went on a nice trip through the mountains in my Max recently and had a blast, although it was only in smaller mountain twisties of PA. It's a lot of fun to come over the crest of a hill not knowing what is on the other side and see the road unfold in front of you. The Max has plenty of power and handles well. Just like a good roller coaster. Have to watch out for deer in these parts of PA.

The closest thing to that in south Florida is a freeway onramp. Everything else is flat and straight. I guess that is the price to pay for warm weather year round. ;(
