You can't get any ECU upgrades for a 00 Maxima, only 01-03s can get them through TechnoSquare. 01 shares alot of electronics and computers with the 02, and 00 Maxima even thou its pretty much similar to a 01, uses alot of 4th gen Maxima electronics.

blackbird, im taking this from my friend's knowledge, but you know how the 1st gen g20's ecu will work with later sentra se-l (to bump rev limiter to 7100 from 6400), well do you know if any previous ecu's made for 4th gens work on a 2000? i know the vias will have to have an rpm control switch but just curious.

dude you're screwed, unless you find someone who can crack the ecu and use another program to piggyback it.

from the last thread i started i learned that a upgraded ecu from Technosquare wont do anythign for you car UNLESS your has some work done to it, like headers intake, exhasut bla bla then itll shine w/o mods its crap, you gatta call them and tell them what you have so they can programme it accordingly,

just the extended rev limiter from TS is worth the money IMO with the addition of aftermarket performance modifications. Remember that ecu upgrades do not significantly affect high end performance, rather the advanced timing and upgraded fuel trim helps with mid range performance.

don't expect no 20+ hp stuff that you see in turbo cars. TS hasn't released the 01 auto ECU yet. The 01 5spd is out, but they haven't updated their site yet. And for 00's that really want a ECU upgrade, you can try making a 4th gen ecu work or a 5th gen cali spec work

the site might be down for updates. The 01 5spd upgrade is not listed yet. I am the test/r&d vehicle. The final pricing hasn't come up yet

Here is what you need to do, get a wireing harness connector that will splice into the stock 00 wire harness that hooks up to the ECU- you need one off a 4th gen. Now after splicing all the wires, you will have a 96 ECU in your 00 Maxima, some items like VIAS will not work, but you can install a MSD switch to turn the intake ON and OFF at desired RPMs- so thats not a problem. You can get JWT to modiffy the ECU for ya, and basically your 00 will have the brain off a 96 Maxima. Thats the only way of doing it, hacking up the OE harness to run the JWT ECU in a 00 Maxima. I'm only waiting for the L-spec TS ECU program, I got my own tuning aids to help me get the most out of my Max. I got a 01 GXE 5spd, so TechnoSquare gots me covered

Or you could go with a piggyback system that would require someone to come up with completely new tuning maps $$$$$.
