does anyone know how much it costs

and is it legal to have tinted front windows (not windsheild) in california?

in cali it is illegal to have any tint in the front windows, but if you go more light they usually wont say anything. you should pay just about 140-175....i personally paid like 150 for my tint at a place called CALIFORNIA TINT in rosemead. very popular place, super packed all the time. if your ever more north in cali, like la give them a call and get your stuff done there.

 

$165 w/tax in chicago 35% all 7 windows.

 

Damn... i paid $250 for my tint (5 windows). I got ripped off from what i see.

 

actually it's not illegal to tint the front but it might as well be! 70% is legal limit and if you ever asked for that where i get my stuff done, they'll just laugh at you and tell you not to get anything cuz it's seriously a waste of money. cops usually don't do anything if you dont have darker than medium (30ish) tint in front. i got mine done at tint connection in newport for 145 (cuz i brought two cars) otherwise it'd be like 160~170 i think. lifetime warranty though, and they'll remove your tint if you get a fix it ticket and apply it again. can't argue with that!

Jesus... $150+ for tints? I will be paying just 130 for computer cut tints from a reputable shop...

 

damn i paid $220. i knew it wasn't the greatest deal. when you have them tinted make sure you ask them about how they tint the dot matrix in the back. my guy tried tinting over it and not it looks like ****. you may want to have them not tint it.

 

Yup... i didn't join the org till about a month after i got my car. It was the first thing i did when i bought it. Of course, within days of posting in the local forums i find out guys were doing it for a lot less.

 

dyed or metallic that's the question. you can get cheaper but it's dyed w/2-5 year warranty or something (and it turns purple after a while). metallic is teh shiznaattt

To those in Chicago, where did you go get your tints from ?
I was thinking of getting titanium tint but don't know where to start.
Any help would be appreciated.

BTW... you should post in there often. Us chicago guys get together all the time. (especially in the warmer months)
