Has Someone installed a Mag Light next to their seat?

I thought I had seen this somewhere before - I've come across a "Nissan" Mag Light and would like to install some "clip-in" type brackets next to the driver's side seat.

Thanks

I have it installed. It is fairly simple. The clip that holds it inplace is one that is produced by Mag-lite. I bought mine as a kit deal with the flashlight and a mini for $20, plus batteries-great deal.

Many of us have done this. Many times, the clips are available wherever you buy the flashlight.

Get the maglite kit from samsclub. $20 something gives you 2 flashlights + 2 brackets + screws. use a drill to mount the bracket right into the floor. a 2 minute job.

well worth it.

I guess the two light kits from Costco doesn't have the clips. Unless I didn't notice it and threw it out with the packaging... doh

I got the same maglite set from BJ's but the package never came with brackets only the 3d maglite, 2AA minilite, but no brackets, I think I'll be gettin some brackets from like homedepot or some autozone or someplace like that must have them. It beats having my maglite under the seat or in the back.

I'm not flaming anyone but is there a reason why so many 5th gen owners are installing maglites/flashlights in there car? When I had my 4th gen this didn't seem to be a common thing to do. Although I do think it's a great idea and location for one.

hey it beats carrying a bat in the trunk or something else that is hard to get to, its easy access and it comes in handy in more than one thing.

I have a Red D Cell Mag lite, but I want a silver one like Epacy... Mag lite is good to have once in a while and it looks pretty cool. Also makes a decent night stick!

yeah...i have one two. picked up a 6 d cell maglite and brackets off ebay. total cost was like $25. only hard part was holding the bracket in place next to the seat. there are holes in the metal under the carpet, so you have to get it on a solid part.

i didnt mess around with mine...got the biggest maglite i could fine and xenon bulbs for it too!

I keep my Maglite in my trunk. I don't want to drill any holes in my car.

What would happen if you did happen to leave your driveway without em? What are some of the "many many many reasons?"

I'm not saying it's going to change your life or anything...but It's nice to have a strong flashlight on-hand in case of emergency (I used mine to look for an earring my wife dropped near the car in a parking lot, of all things... ). As to the mounting position, well....it's just a convenient position, that's all.

I wanted to do this but was just curious if these things rattle at all seeing as how they're right next to the seat and door.

I have noticed no such rattling from this. The installation is very sturdy.
