The rattles from my rear end were quite bothersome. Nobody could figure it out. Everything was solid and secure but it still rattled. Despite being firmly held in position (and never touched since purchase) I removed the jack and tested the car out. ...Voila!... no rattling noises from the rear. I remember somebody posting about this once. Sure, it's an obvious cause, but the fact that when I checked it it appeared secure may cause other people to overlook this problem also. Any new owners (or experienced) should turn the stereo down sometime and listen on a bumpy road to see if you have the same problem. My solution is to wrap it in a couple of small towels and then re-secure it nice and tight.
