Battery Failure?

Fiance was driving the car this evening (damp, cool 45° F) when battery decides to act like it is dying. Lights gradually appeared on the dash (Battery, Trac, ABS, etc) while the dash lights and headlights grew dimmer. Car was acting like a flat/drained battery. Any reason to think it is anything OTHER than a battery needing replacement?

TIA

Yes, sounds more like your alternator which powers your electrical accessories once the car starts. If your alternator is not working right your battery will kick in until it runs low and that's when you'll notice all your lights dimming.
