That was my coworker Danny's car, sterling mist GXE rocking 2k4 wheels.
The wheels came off my other co workers car Richie with the fully fiberglassed 2k4 silver that was at the meet, now riding on 19s.

They rub on turns on the inner fender liner front, rear ocassionally rubs hard right turns only, never a left turn

I'm not sure what the offset is on those 6th gen Max wheels, but I got a set of G35's with the same size tire on my 5th gen Max. I also got some rubbing issues. I believe it's the outside that rubs on the rears, and my left front rubs a bit also. I'm going to change my rear tires to a smaller size (235/40/18) and see if that makes a difference.

Thats too small, maybe a 235/45/18 I have 245/40/18 and don't have any rubbing issue, that tire IS too wide for that rim though, but I haven't had any problems. I think I'm gonna go with a 225 next time and get a little taller tire.

I talked to that guy with the fiberglass system, infact I got pics of it on my site. and that 2k2 with the 2k4 rims was hot I liked how they looked on it.

02 max just ordered 05 350z 18" OEM rims

Do guys think these would rub on my car also especially how the front is 18" by 7.5 and the rear is 18" 8?

What type of tires you guys recommend?

I had a set of '04 350Z's (17" version, though) on my Max and it rubbed also. The fronts didn't rub, but the rears did. But now I got a set of G35's (18" coupes) and they also rub in the back. When am I going to learn! They look nice though!

I'm confused. Which part is too small? The 235 part or the 40 part? I know that for a 8" wide rim, 235 is what's recommended. And as far as sidewall height, I don't want the 45's 'cuz IMO, they'll look too big. You got 245/40/18's on your Max wheels, and they don't rub? What's the offset on those? My G35's are a +30 offset. That, teamed up with the fact that I got a fatter tire, and a lower drop= rubbing issues. It's not that bad though. I think with a little smaller tire, and some massaging to the qtr. panels will solve the problem.

I posted this in a thread about 350z rims on a max:
I saw a 5 gen with the 6th gen wheels and it just looked weird.. the rims looked too big for the car and it seemed like it was all out of proportion...

It is important to note that for the G35's and the 350z's have wider tires on the rear than the front for a reason. This is because
1: They are rear wheel driven
2: They reduce oversteer and increase traction(better grip) for the rear wheels giving the 260plus BHP.

Now putting the same set up from a 350z (wider rears and narrow front wheels) can cause a maxima (front wheel drive) to understeer greatly.

2011 Maxima OEM Wheel on 2003

Got a question guys. Somebody locally is selling a set of the 18x8 wheels off of a 2011 Maxima. They've got 245 45/18's on them currently. Can I get away with running those on a 2003 SE? I have to admit the car is bone stock aside from some tunes inside. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My stock wheels are beat up from a previous owner and this guy is willing to let these go for $400 with "like-new" rubber...
