hmmm....sorry to hear that, that is odd indeed....how long and how hot did you do the oven at???? My write up said...
and I'd say I was more around 300 degrees and more around 15 minutes, but didn't have that problem at all....did you maybe have it too close to the burners, or did you "pre-heat" the oven (like you would for cooking a pizza)...
Again, I'm really sorry to hear that happened....all I could do was give a how-to based on what worked for me, but obviously there must be other factors involved (maybe the temp part on my oven is off, or yours...maybe the plastic lens was of a different/softer plastic than mine...who knows)
I managed to screw up one of my lenses in another way (using silicone remover - which promptly melted part of the lens) so I also am looking for a new lens - if it makes you feel any better.....
Put in oven at around 250-300 degress for about 10-15 minutes. Whn you remove it, be careful...it WILL be hot (duh)

eek....well good luck finding lenses. I haven't been able to track down anywhere that sells lenses by themselves. You CAN though do a search of junkyards on www.car-parts.com, and it'll tell you right there where and how much for used light assemblies. I saw some for around $50, which is alot better than a new one in terms of price!
