Clear Bra pics anyone?

Now that I have the car repainted, the clear bra seems the best way to go. I think the 3M version is the one I'll be getting (the $289 package). A couple of questions, however: 1.) Does anyone have pics of their Max with one on it (preferrably superblack). 2.) Does anyone know approx. cost of getting a pro to install just the front bumper piece?, and 3.) Anyone in the Tampa Bay area know a reputable installer?

Multiple pics and a how-to on my site, but my car is Silver. There is a black max with a clear bra on the org. His is virtually invisible since darker colors hide it better. Mine has worked great a full year now. Not a single chip.

I bought the kit for my wife's 04 MDX ($550 full kit) and attempted it myself. What a mistake!!!!! Unless you have the patience of a saint and an extra pair of hands to help you out don't even bother. I checked out housecor's site (great reference tool!!!!) and being a true gear head figured "no problem". I got the hood piece on and tried to apply one of the large front pieces before blowing a fuse, ripping both pieces off and throughing them in the garbage! I had to reorder two more pieces and had it professionally installed for $300. The video that was included with the kit makes it look soooo easy, However everything looks easy when a pro does it!! Take my advice and get it professionally done....I know this really doesn't answer your questions, I guess it just struck a cord when I read your thread and had to post.

Good Luck,
Tommy Boy

If you have the full set Looslip, I can't even see it on top of the hood. How close do you have to be to see that you have the bra installed? Also, how much did it cost you to have it put on?

I have the hood and fender caps. If the car is dirty its easier to see b/c dirt gets caught on the edges of the bra. Otherwise, you'd have to be about 5 to 10 feet away to really notice it. I installed it myself.

I've got a full clear bra on mine (sorry no pics though) and you have to be pretty much right on top of it to see it. The only time you can tell that it's there is when the car is dirty, then you can see the line across the hood.

Paint Protection Film and Headlight Protection film???

LOOSLIP -----NICE CARE-----
What brand did you use? Okay you installed it yourself with help from anyone else? Did you buy the kit or just the BULK ROLL?

HOW ABOUT headlight protection. What brand do you have or recommend? X-PEL seems like a good company with super thick 40 mil that comes in a kit. It includes the headlights and foglights for 45.00. Other kits have thinner film for about 70.00 dollars. Any suggestions?

Why didn't you put a bug deflector on that way when the car is dirty you dont see that line and you get the protection from the deflector too.

thanks for the compliments, guys.
I got the kit from Xpel. The bumper kit was too expensive so I didn't go with it. I regret that....
Headlight protection might be excessive but thats just me.

Definitly get the bumper protection. In fact, that would be my FIRST piece. After that the hood, then the fenders, lenses, and mirrors if they are made. Trust me, I drive the shnizzle out of my car ('03 w/ 98k) and if anyone can attest to where they chip, I can. Also look into pieces for fronts of the rear fenders. They get hit more than any other part it seems

Like I said, I'm getting the 3M kit w/ the hood piece, entire front bumper, bumper spoiler piece, and two other small pieces that I can't figure out what they are. The only problem is installation costs; I'm not as handy as Housecor over there so I've gotta call some installers and see how much they'll charge to do the bumper for me. Trust me, with the bug damage in FL, this will be a bargain over another repaint in two years.
