Gotta love a new MAFS!
The power is back, and back with a vengance!
SES light went off this morning after yesterdays install, and she feels great! My car feels even better before my old MAFS unit went out. Also wondering if that was causing my SES light to stay on all the time, maybe it was bad already when i brought my car then just decided to totally go out 50k miles later.
Funny i usually get on this long on ramp every morning to go to work ,and from start to finish i can usually repeatedly everyday hit 80 mph on the nose from start to finish. Well today i hit the last dash before the 90 mark on the speedo, which is probaly around 88 mph! Man i really must have been cheating myself on power with that old MAFS!
The car feels awesome!!!! If this is what the Vq35 suppose to feel like then i have been missing out big time!

Then yours might be pretty good.A week after i got my car my SES light came on, had it reset countless times, even had the codes checked and it all showed my Bank rear 1 o2 sensor was responsing slow. Sure enough after resetting the ECU my light would come on,sometimes it would go off. I never suspected it was the MAFS because it always read my 02 as the problem.
Now 50k miles later i changed the MAFS and my car never felt any better! And my light went off 12 hours later after driving it.
I meen i thought my car felt pretty good when i first brought it, but now it just feels like a diffrent car all together.
Only one way to check is buy yourself a MAFS from a junk yard this way you won't have to spend $488 dollars on a new one. Fortunately enough for me the guy had an 02 max that came in his salvage yard monday that got nailed pretty badly from the back. So i just paid 150 buck for mine....hopefully you might have the same bargin fine as i did.

Oh well...
"There's no replacement for displacement!! Who says bigger isn't better??!! Long live the 3.5!"............................................. ................................. Unfourtunatly your 3.5 liter is allready being phased out. Were about a year away from Nissans new VQ 4.0 liter being the new standard in performance. Its allready in the Pathfinder as well as the Frontier.

Notice it's only in trucks/SUV's? They would have to alter then engine (bore/stroke ratio) to make it feasible in the autos. I don't think they are going to add them to the lineup across the board. They may do an AWD VQ40 Maxima for the 25th anniversary version or something like that, but it won't be all of the Maximas.
