the part numbers is how you should judge whether they are new or not.

look at all the new coils, and you should see a grey dot on one of them. Make sure to check all of them. sometimes when they send out a pack of 6 theres a dot on only one of the coils

The Dot is very obvious. Its diameter is a little smaller than your pinky. thats how obvious it is.

Then i'd take it or send it back and let them know. if you got new coils to fix the tsb issue.

Only the 2k coils have the dots. I'm certain of this. If you do not have a 2000 maxima, or if they put 2k1 coils in your car (this is often done, as they did it in my car) then you wont see the dots. The part number is how you can determine if its a 2k or a 2k1 coil.

refer to the table below
(NO dots = NO dots)
(with dots = little gray round sticker on the head of the coil)
(front = 3 coils at the front of the car under engine cap)
(rear = 3 coils nearest to windshield behind the engine)

original - 2000 - front: 22448-2Y005 and NO dots
original - 2000 - rear: 22448-2Y000 and NO dots
updated - 2000 - front: 22448-2Y005 with dots
updated - 2000 - rear: 22448-2Y000 with dots
original - 2001 - front: 22448-2Y006 and NO dots
original - 2001 - rear: 22448-2Y001 and NO dots
no updated version of 2001 coils.

and there is no "copy-paste" errors in there. I double-checked it to make sure.

Just curious... my 03 coils have the grey dots. Are they the updated ones or not? Not sure if I have a newer car with old coils or what. Thanks.
