kinda having second thoughts about my spring/kit/rim combo

i was checkin some of the pics of guys on the ORG with S-Techs, and it seems none of them have lip kits. i have them sitting in a box in my house now waiting for spring, along with the MT front lip. im gonna have 19s, with 245 or 255/35s. is this gonna be SO low that i cant drive around anywhere? getting into my apartment complex will be ok, but not my parents driveway i dont think.

guys who have these springs, do you really have a lot of clearance issues? im in NJ, which is not the best place in the world for lowering a car. i also have Illumina struts to put on, but im not so sure if that is gonna matter, with a blehmco LTB (again, i dont know if this matters). im concerned that i should go to the next lowest set of springs...maxspeed or something.

s-techs arent that low, you just have to be careful on some driveways, if you think they are low look at someone with JIC's. I have s-techs with a lip kit, and i get around fine, i do scrape, but not drastically.

edit: i know you live in NJ, but i live in the city also, so there are bad roads as well.

Can someone post pics or links of stech rides in this thread please. I tried to search but wasn't having too much luck. Oh by the way I currently have H&R race springs on my car (not a maxima) and the front bumper clearance is 5" just have to be aware of the roads that's all...

I've got Tein S-Techs, but no front lip. I don't have any scraping issues, but like any other lowered car, you do need to take extra precautions. I'm sure that it would be ok. I'm on 18" G35's, so if I'm not mistaken, your 19's will give you a little extra clearance. Do it, it'll look sweet.

i know itll look good, haha, but i dont want it to only be seen parked in front of my place cuz i cant drive it anywhere. but from what you guys say, i should be ok. i have had a lowered car before with a lip that stuck down a lot, so i know about the joys of that.

aleks, check out the thread where it takes a poll of people springs. there are lots of pics in there with people's springs.

I don't think it's too low, I constantly go over speed bumps to get on and off base and don't have a problem. The MT lip is urethane so it should flex a bit as long as you keep it slow. I have the same set-up as you except the 19's (which are coming this spring). More pics on my homepage.

It's not that bad. Just keep your eyes out for big bumps, dips, potholes, etc.

I'm running S-Tech w/ a kit.

Don't be a baby...you'll be fine

I'll be going lower when my coilovers come in. I've decided against a kit for other reasons...
